Meaning of R.A.I.N.T.E.A.M Letters

R.A.I.N.T.E.A.M

RAINTEAM is committed to inspiring individuals to live healthy lives by practicing positive habits, maintaining a nutritious diet, and perseverance. In order to grow away from cancer, we need a rainteam. Understand each letter behind RAINTEAM to get a better idea of our motivation, values, and mission.

R Resources are the canvas, brush, and paint needed to generate creation. Without resources there can be no growth among ideas, missions, or communities. No progress made. Rather than losing time on pushing people to start caring, RAINTEAM will acquire our own resources; goods, services, and events designed to promote healthy living and be the pulse of growth and transformation.

AAdvocacy is an essential segment of resources and without resources you will find yourself without advocacy. Today, the expectation is to be voiceless, but our voices are needed now more than ever. More than one disheartening attempt to advocate for cancer patients in Washington D.C. taught us this truth

IInspiration can be captivating. Patients, regardless of their status as recovering from or battling cancer, possess an inspiration greater than any trophy hoisted overhead. The effort of a true athlete is the powerful embodiment of the human spirit we all share; they have the power to inspire by demonstrating a pursuit greater than one for individual glory.

NNetworking has far more benefits than just those attached to the professional arena. Consider the spouse of a man with prostate cancer who may be too shy to ask questions in front of her husband. This pair would benefit tremendously by networking with other families dealing with prostate cancer. Networking in a world of the Internet and media misinformation is valuable to both people battling cancer and those fighting to prevent it. RAINTEAM has a strong network of people sharing and exchanging information.

TTeamwork is a clear value, but is frequently neglected in daily life. Media promoted role models sell products thanks to their ability to stand out due to individual glory. On the other hand, true role models need a venue to showcase their ability to make connections between athletes of diverse ages, backgrounds, and struggles, including cancer. When you create a RAINTEAM with your friends, family members, and co-workers it is possible to reward those who seek the unique advantage every single person has regardless of age or physical abilities. By providing positive feedback for team members who appreciate the value and contribution of each and every person, like the 72-year-old grandmother, you will get the ball rolling on the paradigm shift.

EExercise shouldn’t be viewed as work we merely tolerate in a poor environment. Exercise is multidimensional and natural, it is to be accentuated by the elements. Meant to be illuminated by the sun and splashed by the rain. Exercise is about connecting the natural body to the world, which includes rain, sunrises, sunsets, the earth under our feet, and the air we breathe. In order to establish a direction for exercise we need goals. The goals of the “heroes” circulated by media are formed to serve under the guise of large industries that encourage harmful habits (e.g. soda, social drugs, credit cards, and vehicles using fossil fuels). This system has trained us to believe in false objectives that say we can only be happy when we get something. However, real, long-term happiness is not purchased or attained through external accomplishments. Happiness is an expression of your true state as an individual, you already possess it, but you must unlock it by allowing your passions to flow and grow. By expanding your capacity for self-expression you will have more to give and you can achieve this expansion through true exercise and sport. Exercise allows the body to support the mind and spirit.

AArt is the language of the human soul. With any medium, you find your own truth and interpretation. Art acts as a communicator to our souls and most profound motivators. Unfortunately, our culture has become a dry and harmful cancer, but art can be the line we need to open the floodgates and pour life into this environment. However, having and experiencing art is not enough, we must be mindful of what we surround ourselves with. We should seek art that communicates to us and connects us to a purpose in order to mobilize our community and recover our humanity.

MMovement is one of the defining characteristics of life as it is required internally and externally. The human capacity for movement extends far beyond dance and sports. Our collective motion to change how we have been cultivated to accept cancer and pursue a different reality is a movement as it spans across more than just the action of one person. A movement deeper than just the surface of learned fears that work to separate us from ourselves and each other. Our greatest movement is the one that takes us away from cancer and towards life. A movement working towards a loving community and self-expression through active harmony.
